Wayne Becker
I am drawn to the kind of work that starts with an idea. Giving that thought purpose and form, refining it for use, and watching it come to life piece by piece. That passion drives my love of Industrial Design and has shaped a career I’ve enjoyed for decades. Along the way, it’s allowed me to deliver successful projects across aircraft interiors, heavy equipment, consumer products, and aftermarket innovations.
My design journey started long before my first official design role. I grew up taking things apart, rebuilding them, and trying to understand the why behind how everything worked. Those early years shaped how I approach design today. That curiosity led me to Kansas State University, where I began as an engineering student and ultimately found my path in product design.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to design everything from private aircraft cabin concepts to patented consumer products. I’ve managed complete design lifecycles starting at sketching early concepts, developing 3D models, collaborating with fabricators, and refining the final details so products fit naturally into the real world. That balance of creativity and practicality is where I feel most at home.
I’m fluent in Rhino3D, KeyShot, CorelDraw, 3D Printing, hands-on modelmaking, and the collaborative work that bridges engineering, manufacturing, and design. What continues to drive me is the moment when something imagined becomes physical. Something that works well, feels right, and solves a real problem.
Design, for me, is both craft and connection. It’s about understanding people, respecting how things are built, and pushing for solutions that are not just functional, but thoughtful. With every commission, I’m motivated by one simple idea:
Purposeful design creates worthwhile solutions.
